On July 15 the Valdai Club held an online discussion on the topic: “The Fate of the JCPOA Under the New Leadership in the United States and Iran.” Hamidreza Azizi, Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for International Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin; Alexander Maryasov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Iran (2001–2005); Richard Weitz, Senior Fellow and Director, Center for Political-Military Analysis, Hudson Institute, participated. The discussion was moderated by Ivan Timofeev, Programme Director of the Valdai Discussion Club.
