Russia-Vietnam Economic Relations

The history of Russian-Vietnamese relations should be viewed as competitive advantage that enables Russia and Vietnam to reach success in joint projects and initiatives. In the sphere of military-technical cooperation, the Russian advantages will continue to function for a long time, however, tendencies towards diversification have emerged. In effect, the “historical multiplier” effect will work for not more than a decade, therefore Russia and Vietnam need to build a new foundation of relations, if they want them to be special, and not just relations of two average economies in different parts of the globe.
