Today, when the West itself proclaims the “end of Western hegemony,” the centers of political and economic life are progressively shifting to Asia. Asian countries undergo rapid development and become active international actors. “Turn to the East” is Russia’s strategic course that implies both the search for its identity and unique historical path between Europe and Asia and moving towards rapprochement with the regional countries – primarily China, Japan, and South Korea.
