On December 9, as part of the 15th Asian Conference of the Valdai Club, two cooperation agreements were signed between think tanks from Russia and Malaysia. The conference, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur on December 9-10, is organized by the Valdai Club in partnership with Bait al-Amanah Foundation, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and Institute for Strategic Analysis and Policy Research.
During the first day of the conference, Andrei Rudenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Mohamad Hassan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, addressed the participants.
Following the speeches by the two countries’ top diplomats, Andrey Bystritskiy, the Valdai Club Chairman, and Pamela Yong, Chair of Institute for Strategic Analysis and Political Research, signed a cooperation agreement between their respective organizations. Subsequently, a similar agreement with Institute for Strategic Analysis and Political Research was signed on behalf of Bait al-Amanah Foundation by Abdul Razak Ahmad, its Founding Director.
For the Valdai Club, the agreement with Institute for Strategic Analysis and Political Research represents an additional step in the expansion of its international partnerships network. In November, during its 21st Annual Meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Islamabad Policy Research Institute.
