Memorandum of Cooperation Between the Valdai Club and the United Service Institution of India

On October 23, 2022, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Foundation for the Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club and the United Service Institution of India (USI). The ceremony took place in Moscow.

The document was signed by Andrey Bystritskiy, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for the Development and Support of the Valdai Club, and Major General B. K. Sharma (ret.), Director of the United Service Institution of India (USI).

According to the document, the parties plan to cooperate in scientific activities, which will include joint seminars/webinars and master classes, as well as the preparation and exchange of publications.

USI is the oldest and most authoritative think tank of the three branches of India’s military, founded in 1870 by Colonel (later Major General) Sir Charles MacGregor. Today USI has about 15,000 members, including security officers, diplomats, government officials and academics. USI specialises in geopolitics, strategic security and military diplomacy.
