On March 3–5, the Valdai Discussion Club held its first Youth Conference, titled “The Valdai Club: The World in 2040,” as part of the World Youth Festival. The participants of the open discussion explored the key megatrends in the field of world politics, world economy, scientific and technological development, value-civilisational parameters of international relations and tried to forecast how these trends will develop and what the system of international relations and the world economy will look like in 2040.
